Computer hardware is
the physical part of a computer, including the digital circuitry, as distinguished from the computer software that executes within the hardware. The hardware of a computer is infrequently changed, in comparison with software and data, which are "soft" in the sense that they are readily created, modified or erased on the computer. Firmware is a special type of software that rarely, if ever, needs to be changed and so is stored on hardware devices such as read-only memory (ROM) where it is not readily changed (and is therefore
"firm" rather than just "soft").
Most computer hardware is not seen by normal users. It is in embedded systems in automobiles, microwave ovens, electrocardiograph machines, compact disc players, and other devices. Personal computers, the computer hardware familiar to most people, form only a
small minority of computers (about 0.2% of all new computers produced in 2003) Market statistics.
In todays world when every site depends upon its design, theres a need for a well build design having strong base and decent looks. The design depends upon the site functionality and its credentials. there are many aspects through which we can choose the designs. They are as follow:
1. The purpose of the site
2. usability of the site
3. It size and credentials and many more.
Design Process passes through number of steps. Firstly the parts are designed which are then build into sub-assemblies.These sub-assemblies form groups. Finally groups are embedded into the main structure ie. the machine.
Designing basically follows hierarchical type structure. As mentioned earlier, Designing proceeds as follows:--
Designing of Parts
Parts are the main building elements.Without them one can not begin with the design process. This level breaks the entire mechanism into a simple and easy form. These parts are then assembled into other things. This is just like designing the small parts of car like fan, motor, radiator cap etc. which are used to make a radiator. And this completes the first level of designing.
Designing of Sub-Assemblies
At this level the parts are put together to form a sub-assembly. In the above example the radiator can act as a sub-assembly of a car. These sub-assemblies are combined together to form groups.
Group Design
This is the third level of designing. At this stage the things become easy to understand and precise. One can easily identify the designed structure by just looking at them.Like the doors, radiator ,engine forms separate groups which are easily recognized by everyone .
Final Design
Here comes the final step. The groups built are now put together to form the final structure of the design. Just like we put engine in a car. Without engine the design of the car is incomplete.
After this step, the design comes to a stage where it can be delievered to anyone or it can be used for the further processing by the user itself. It depends on him/her whether he/she consider this design as a sub-assembly or a group. Design acts as a backbone whether it is of any site or while we are manufacturing something.
